THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA
This book is about a girl called Andrea who wants to be a journalist.  She gets the opportunity to be Miranda Priestley’s assistant, and if she gets through this job for a whole year she gets a reward of being on a cover of a magazine and an article of her on the magazine.

Eventually Andrea finds out she has got the job and is delighted. So the next morning she starts the job any girl would kill for.  Unfortunately the opportunity of being Miranda Priestley’s assistant is not as good as she thought.  Because as soon as Andrea first steps into the posh Manhattan offices of Runway she realises she knows nothing about fashion.  Andrea had never heard of the world’s most fashionable magazine or even Miranda Priestly!!  Andrea thought that a magazine was just something to flick over but Runway was much more!



But soon she knows way too much…
She knows it’s a sacking offence to wear less than a three- inch heel to work, she knows that eight stone is fat, that you can charge anything- cars, manicures, clothes to the Runway account but you must never leave the desk or let Miranda’s coffee get cold.         
Andrea soon realises she has had enough and cannot cope with her monster boss anymore because she realises that she may turn into Miranda one day and leaves her job to get back the life she had before Runway.  Andrea thinks that now she has left her job, she will not get the job she has wanted for a long time now which is to be a journalist, but the agency decide to take her on anyway because they know how hard Andrea must have worked to be Miranda’s assistant.
